On Wednesday, February 19, the College of the Canyons women’s basketball team faced off against West Los Angeles community college in their final home game of the season.

After the first quarter the women were down by 4-points but that did not discourage them.

After the half COC were up by 9-points. Cristian Patron and Diamyn Davis would help carry that momentum into the second half. Patron would put up 19 points and had a pair of assists. Along with that she had nine rebounds. Davis put up 28-points with 6 of those coming from the free throw line.

With the efforts of the whole team COC would pull off an impressive 77-59 win.

With it being the last home game the team reflected on their season after the game.

Sophomore McKenzie Stoehr gave her take on the season, “Beginning of the

season we had a lot of players we had a great energy we had great team chemistry but

unfortunately we had some injuries and personal things and we lost a few people throughout the season but you know what that just helped us grow”.
