After a national search, the Santa Clarita Community College District has named its seventh president at College of the Canyons.

Dr. Jasmine Ruys will take the helm of the 57-year-old institution.

Ruys has worked at the college for 24 years, rising through the ranks of student services.

And will now lead a campus with nearly 21,000 students and hundreds of staff members.
