Tyler Bjorklund is not your average man, from his stature to his
strength.

As a child, Tyler could easily identify with the men he saw competing on TV in
World Strongest Man competitions. Contests where large men lift, carry and throw extreme weight to prove who is the world’s strongest.

“Big bumbly dudes who….went out and competed,” said Bjorklund. “they would grunt
or they would get angry or something, but I related to that a lot.”

For all the feats of strength, Tyler has shown in competitions,
strongman reminded him of the even stronger bond he had with someone
special.

“I watched World Strongest Man with my grandpa,” said Bjorklund. “I did have a very close relationship with him.

“Watched World’s Strongest Man with him like once, but that was
the number one thing that popped up in my head everytime I think of him.”

Moving heavyweights in the gym can be like overcoming hardships in life. Through adversity, true character is shown.

“A reflection on life and who you are as a person, like how you conduct yourself when no one’s looking,” said Bjorklund.

“If you come in here and you’re slacking, and you do that on a regular basis, that’s gonna reflect on your life.”

Motivation is normally what pushes people to keep sharpening their skills. But Tyler has other motives to help push him to stay consistent with training.

“The reason why I do strongman is because it’s a talent of mine I just want to see how far I can go and bring God glory as much as I can in this realm of my life,” said Bjorklund.

Faith is something important to Tyler; using his god-given strength, Tyler competes as a strongman, to push himself and to spread a bigger message.

“I just have a goal in mind, and that’s what pushes me,” said Bjorklund.
