The Cobblestone Cottage, a local boutique located in Santa Clarita’s River Oaks Shopping Center, is preparing to close its doors after 32 years of business.

Kathy Allie first opened the store in 1987, after a trip to England inspired her to open up her own boutique; and with the help of her daughter, Jamee Brandt, Allie was able to make that dream a reality.

The store’s walls are decorated from floor to ceiling with various shabby-chic signs and trinkets.

Each room in The Cobblestone Cottage is stocked with unique clothes and jewelry, home furnishings, and one-of-a-kind knick-knacks.

Each year, Allie and Brandt discuss their future plans for the store; and each year, they’ve been all-in.

But between increased competition with the internet and rent complications, things felt a little different this year.

Together, they made the difficult decision to bring this chapter in their lives to a close.

Most of the store is marked 20% off and is still receiving merchandise.

Most of the store’s merchandise is marked down significantly due to the store closing.

While the store has announced they will be closing later this year, Cobblestone Cottage is scheduled to remain open until summer.
