Kick, climb, and slide into recreational day at College of the Canyons. A day for students, faculty and the community to enjoy the sun. Activities included are archery, a bounce house, rock climbing, a food truck, face painting, and other carnival themed games.

Several vendors and COC clubs were asked to join the event. Rose Brown is a business student at COC who has been using her studies to apply to her own ventures. She has been selling crystals and handmade jewelry, and uses her business classes and peers to help her along the way.

“Being part of business club and just hearing other people’s ideas and suggestions on like what to do for my business, how they can help,” Rose Brown said. “It’s really nice to know that there are other like minded business oriented people at my school.”

This Rec-Day has given Rose a chance to show her talents to the community. The recreational department students plan to continue organizing more events like this one, in hopes to further expand their hand into the community.
