Students across the College of the Canyons got to experience the annual CougarFest in the Student Center.
With all that the event had to offer, how can it help students, and what could possibly guide them to different programs?
“We want people to be connected, we want people to know what is available to them,” said Lynn Suh, College of the Canyons Services Coordinator.
“We want people to be thinking I wanna make sure I visit that department,” said Suh.
Some of the programs help the students connect with others. One of the many student-led clubs on campus shows the importance and benefit of an event like Cougar Fest.
“I think attending Cougar Fest in a general sense helps you feel more connected to the school,” said Breeze Aguilar, a College of the Canyons student who attended the event.
Events like Cougar Fest are open to old and new students and offer many opportunities. They can open doors to many different activities and resources for students to help them through community college and be a huge benefit for those who are not sure what they wish to do.
