A beloved community space is getting a fresh new look. For years, Old Orchard Park has been a place where families gather, friendships are formed, and neighbors come together.

Now that renovations are underway, residents like Ryder Aird are eagerly anticipating the beloved park’s new look and aesthetic.

“I met a lot of my friends here after school,” said Ryder Aird, a local resident.”We like to come down here all the time and play.

“This park has created a sense of community through me just meeting my friends, my family likes to come here all the time,” said Aird.

Although Old Orchard has been a hub for local events and neighborhood activities for decades, residents say it is time for an upgrade.

A major change I hope to see is the inclusion of all four districts,I hope it will be equitable for all ages,” said Aird.

The park remains quiet for now, but residents are hopeful for its revival.

Since it’s been under construction, not as many people come here,” said Alexis Pierre, local resident.

“I hope when it’s finished, and the playground is all good again, I’ll see my community back to enjoy it,” said Pierre.

As construction on the park moves forward, residents eagerly await reopening this cherished space, where a sense of community will thrive again.
