With a swing, the second stage of the PGA Tour Qualifying School took place at the Valencia Country Club, where golfers battled to move one step closer to securing their PGA Tour card.
“This is their livelihood, this is everything,” said Valencia Country Club Director of Golf Tim Medina.
“This is a culmination of 15,20,30 years for a lot of these guys…..who have been chasing a dream forever,” said Medina.
This wasn’t just an opportunity for the players but also for the country club. It was closed last April for 6 months in order to complete renovations.
“We’ve come a long way it has been awesome to see the….. the growth of the course and where it is and where it was,” said Medina.
Only 13 golfers saw the fruit of their labor cement them a spot in the final stage of the PGA qualifying, which takes place in Florida on December 14th.
