Wellness day is one of the many events tied with Circle of Hope, a foundation whose start just might surprise you.
“Circle of Hope was founded about twenty years ago by a beautiful woman in our community, Colleen Shaffer who was given six months to live,” Laura Kirchhoff said. “And she had breast cancer and she said if she survived she would start an organization for women to help pay their cancer medical bills.”
Other associations may go about helping in the fight against Cancer by donating money, but Laura is playing to her strengths. Using her beauty lounge she is able to give cancer patients and survivors a well-deserved day of pampering.
