Senator Scott Wilk honored Coco Moms founder and CEO Kei Kei Lee for her nonprofit work at Santa Clarita City Hall.
“We choose leaders within the community to honor for Black History Month,” Wilk said. “And we choose one from the Santa Clarita Valley, Antelope Valley and Victor Valley.”
The Santa Clarita mom started Coco Moms three years ago with one single focus: to support Black moms and mothers of Black children in the area of education and wellness.
“Coco Moms has made an attempt to be visible in the community because of being invisible for so long,” Lee said.
