The SENSES Block Party on Main Street in Newhall brought people in the Santa Clarita Valley together for a night of fun and fullness. Aside from all the joy the event brought, it also had a positive impact on local vendors.
“I would say that the SENSES event has improved our business greatly,” said Joey Fernandez, the kitchen manager at El Trocadero Grill and Cantina in downtown Newhall.
“I mean, it brings foot traffic we wouldn’t otherwise see throughout the week, and it gets really busy, and it’s a fun function,” said Fernandez.
The SENSES Block Party ran every third Thursday of the month from March to October. The event brought in a fun and joyful crowd; this atmosphere helped businesses keep a good and fun atmosphere for everyone throughout the night.
“I love when every 3rd Thursday from March to October, they
have the SENSES here, and I love it,” Said Alfonso Casas a customer at El Trocadero. “I Just come out here and meet new people, and it brings the whole city together.”
I think the live music also entertains everybody. This El Trocadero has been around for about 20 years, and they have the friendliest staff here, and the prices are
fair,” said Casas.
SENSES, the last event of the year, is scheduled for October 19th; friends and families can come out, have a good time, and support local vendors.
