The Boys and Girls club of Santa Clarita hosted their annual Festival of Trees event to raise funds for the club. This is an annual event consisting of a silent auction with performances and the chance to take pictures with Santa.

“We have elaborated decorated full-size trees, tabletop trees, gingerbread houses, and wreaths,” Chair of Volunteers Jacki Hoffman said.

The silent auction consisted of a QR code that you could scan if you wanted the item. Many wreaths were sold out but everyone had time to look at trees that have won in past decorating contests. Many of the items on display were designed by personal designers to showcase their talents.

High schools also participate by donating trees to the cause as well.

“A team of designers who donate their time and build the trees, sometimes they have sponsors that work with them that give them ideas and businesses will. Then we have another team of designers that work on the tabletop trees, the smaller ones and then the high schools often will provide a tree from the high school,” Hoffman said.
